Silent Hill: Townfall: How To Open The Human Organ Box

The Human Organ box contains an item required to progress through the game. Here is how to open it.

Two combination locks, three emails, and a code that only makes sense once you know which half of it to trust. That's how you open the Human Organ box in Silent Hill: Townfall.

Once inside Zoe's apartment in Silent Hill: Townfall, the newest horror adventure from No Code and Konami, your first goal is restoring power to the building – we've already covered that process in our guide on restoring power in Zoe's apartment, which you can see down below. Once that's done, you'll gain access to the computer, and the computer, along with the Human Organ card you can find in the same room, are the two clues you'll need to open the box. Try either combination pad before you've read the computer's emails, though, and the game will simply warn you that you don't know the code yet.

Step 1: Access the computer

With the power restored, head to the computer in the same room. Open it up and read through all three emails sitting inside.

Step 2: Find the messed-up email

Two of the emails are straightforward. The third is garbled and harder to parse, and that's the one holding what you need. It gives you two things at once: the combination itself is the first three and the last three digits of a corresponding ET Code, and the ET Code you're meant to reference is spelt out right there in the email.

Step 3: Cross-reference the ET Code on the Human Organ card

ET Codes are printed on the Human Organ card, which you'll find in the same room as the computer. The card lists more than one code, though, so cross-reference the Hospital ID from the email against the Hospital IDs on the card. The one on the right is the correct match.

Step 4: Pull the first and last three digits

Once you've confirmed the right ET Code, take its first three digits for one side of the box and its last three digits for the other.

Step 5: Enter the combination on both pads

The box has a combination pad on each side. Input the digits you pulled from the ET Code: in this case, 956 on the left pad and 133 on the right pad, since those are the first and last three digits of the correct code.

Quick tip: Don't bother testing either pad until you've actually read all three emails. The game locks you out with a "you don't know the combination" message regardless of how close you guess, so there's no shortcut around reading the messed-up email first.
