Soon after you enter CEG HQ as Simon in Silent Hill: Townfall, developed by No Code and published by Konami, you'll need a keycard for the lift to reach the tenth floor. Getting it means working through a small chain of puzzles, starting with a seating diagram that's split in two: one half tucked away in the drawer in the maintenance room, the other waiting behind a door marked Security. That door won't open without a code, and this guide covers exactly how to find it.
What you're working toward
The conference room is full of chairs, and most of them have a locked case strapped to the seat, each stamped with its own number. Somewhere in that room is the diagram that tells you which case actually matters, but the diagram itself is split across two locations: part of it is in a drawer in the maintenance room, and the other part is inside the security room you're currently locked out of. Solving the whole lockbox puzzle is a job for another guide. For now, the only thing standing between you and progress is that locked door.
Find the maintenance room clue
Head into the maintenance room and search the drawers; one of them holds a fragment of the seating diagram, which you'll need later once the security room's half is in hand. The real prize for this puzzle, though, is on the wall: a whiteboard with the number 4 written large and three arrows leading off it in different directions.
Read the whiteboard as a set of directions rather than a finished code. The 4 is your starting point, and each arrow tells you which way to move from the last digit to find the next one.
Crack the code
Treat the keypad like a small map, with 4 as your starting position. The first arrow points northeast, and that lands you on 8. The second points straight down, south, landing on 9. The third points southwest, landing on 5. Read those off in order after your starting digit, and you get the code: 4895.
Open the security room door
Back out into the corridor, find the door marked Security, and interact with the keypad beside it. Enter 4895, and the door unlocks, giving you access to the second half of the seating diagram inside, which is your next objective once you're ready to tackle the conference room in full.
Quick tip: Don't bother trying to match the two diagram halves to a seat number until you've actually got both pieces in hand. Half a diagram tells you nothing, and if you keep guessing which locker to open before having a full picture, your health might suffer considerably.
