As if anyone needed more convincing, Rockstar Games have dropped a fresh batch of 37 Grand Theft Auto 6 screenshots on the GTA website, and they’re quite something. With launch now just around the corner, the new images give one of the most detailed looks yet at Vice City and the wider state of Leonida.
Unsurprisingly, protagonists Jason and Lucia feature heavily. Many of the screenshots show the pair in the middle of robberies and getaways, guns drawn, with police helicopters circling overhead in some of the more chaotic shots.
It’s not all heists, though. Other images show quieter moments and side activities, including a shirtless session at the gym lifting weights. If GTA San Andreas taught us anything, it’s that a protagonist’s fitness can be serious business, and it’ll be interesting to see how much Rockstar have built around activities like this.
Vice City looks massive
Several screenshots focus on the open world itself, with sweeping skyline shots of Vice City that give a real sense of its scale. There are glowing sunsets over the water, neon-lit nightclubs and the kind of sun-soaked streets the series is famous for.
The level of detail is striking throughout, from sweat and skin texture on characters to bullet holes in car doors and reflections on shattered glass.
Some very unfriendly faces
Leonida’s criminal underworld also gets a look in. One of the standout screenshots shows a group of heavily tattooed gang members staring straight at the camera, and they look genuinely intimidating. Judging by these images, Jason and Lucia are going to cross paths with some very dangerous people.
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar still haven’t announced a PC version.
