Bethesda have finally given us an update, albeit a small one, regarding their highly-anticipated fantasy RPG The Elder Scrolls 6. In their special message to the community for the 30th anniversary of the Elder Scrolls franchise, Bethesda briefly mentioned that they are hard at work on the game and are testing the early builds which already feel exciting and give a sense of adventure.
"...we are in development on the next chapter - The Elder Scrolls 6. Even now, returning to Tamriel and playing early builds has us filled with the same joy, excitement, and promise of adventure," Bethesda wrote in the message.
Sadly, that's pretty much everything about The Elder Scrolls 6 that Bethesda shared in the message. The publisher also thanked the fans for supporting them all these decades and shared their excitement for their upcoming titles.
At the moment, we have no details about The Elder Scrolls 6 as Bethesda only gave us that logo reveals from years ago and that's pretty much it. It's not surprising that we haven't hear much about The Elder Scrolls 6, though as Bethesda have been fully focusing on their sci-fi RPG Starfield but should now be all hands on deck for their fantasy RPG.
The Elder Scrolls 6 is not expected anytime soon. There is no official release date at the moment but some reports suggested that the game probably won't be coming before 2026 at the earliest.
If we had to bet, we'd say 2027 is probably a more realistic release date. Microsoft Gaming CEO previously told in FTC trial that the game won't be coming for the next five to six years. Yeah, it's going to take a while before we get to play this one.
