Developer Game Science and Nvidia today revealed some exciting new details about the highly-anticipated souls-like action RPG Black Myth: Wukong, more precisely, the game's PC version, which is set to launch with some pretty amazing features.
The game will fully utilise Nvidia ray-tracing features which means it will be one of the rare games with path-tracing joining the likes of Cyberpunk 2077 and Portal RTX which also utilise this incredible tech.
Black Myth: Wukong will launch with fully ray-traced Global Illumination, ray-traced shadows, ray-traced reflections as well as DLSS 3.5 to help with the performance when cranking up these GPU-intensive features. There's also Ray Reconstruction denoiser to help improve the image quality when ray-tracing is turned on. You can check out all this visual goodness in the trailer above.
In addition to the full suite of ray-tracing features and other Nvidia tech, Black Myth: Wukong seems to be utilising Unreal Engine 5's Nanite for geometry, which will give the environments quite the visual punch as seen in the latest and previous trailers.
This one is certainly very high on our list of most anticipated releases of 2024 and we cannot wait to see more and obviously get to play it this summer.
Black Myth: Wukong is officially hitting the shelves on August 20, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
In case you are not familiar with the game, as we've said above it's a challenging action RPG based on the Monkey King mythology and the 16th Century Journey to the West novel.
The game was showcased several times over the last couple of years and attracted a large following due to its spectacular-looking bosses and visuals.
