After a long wait, we might finally get to see city building strategy Frostpunk 2 in action in just a couple of days. Developer 11 Bit Studios have announced on Twitter that they will be part of PC Gamer's Sunday show which airs at 10:00 CET / 1:00 PM PDT / 4:00 PM EDT.
The developer also launched a new website "FP2when" which confirms the date and time of the new Frostpunk 2 reveal with a message stating "The City Must Not Fall".
It's all a bit cryptic at the moment but if we had to guess, we'd say that the first look at the gameplay is a lock along with additional details on the release date, editions and pre-orders.
We're also expecting to get the first details on the release platforms. PC is obviously a lock since the game is being shown at the PC Gaming Show but we're also hopeful that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players will get some good news. The first game launched only on PC but it was ported to consoles later on.

11 Bit Studios will probably follow the same release schedule this time around but it would certainly be great if Frostpunk 2 launched on all three platforms simultaneously.
In case you are not familiar with Frostpunk 2, it's obviously a sequel to a critically acclaimed city-building sim set in an icy post-apocalyptic world with you as the ruler of a small colony of survivors.
It's set 30 years after the apocalyptic blizzard storm with Earth still being overwhelmed by the neverending frost icy climate. Players will still get to play as a leader of a resource-hungry metropolis where the expansion and search for new sources of power are of utmost importance.
