11 bit studios just released a new trailer for one of my most anticipated games of 2024 - Frostpunk 2. The new trailers gives us a glimpse of gameplay and how players will have to deal with the pressure of various factions in the game.
Along with the new gameplay reveal, 11 bit studios also confirmed that Frostpunk 2 will be available on day one on Game Pass when it launches in the first half of 2024 on PC.
Frostpunk 2 will also be available on Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S, though, there is still no confirmed release date for the console launch. We assume it will be coming sometime in the second half of 2024.
In case you're not familiar with Frostpunk 2, it's obviously a sequel to the excellent city builder sim strategy from 2018. This time around, players will play as a Steward and oversee a massive metropolis that is home to people of various backgrounds.
Just like in the first game, people will complain about aspects of the city and require places to work and warm bed. Factions will eventually start to rise on the streets and it will be up to you to keep them in order. However, this time around, you won't have the total power as the delegates will vote for or against the laws you propose.
This is a new mechanic that the team are introducing in the sequel and we can't wait how exactly it impacts gameplay.
11 bit studios and Xbox previously announced a deal to bring 11 bit studios upcoming games to Game Pass and Frostpunk 2 is just one of these. The official press release states that further Game Pass additions from 11 bit studios portfolio are set to be unveiled at a later date.
