EA and DICE have today revealed a ton of details about Battlefield 2042 Season 5 called New Dawn, which officially launches on with new maps, weapons and more.
Today, we finally got the official trailer for Battlefield 2042 Season 5, titled New Dawn. Along with the action-packed trailer, EA and DICE also shared a bunch of details for this upcoming content drop which arrives on June 7, 2023.
As with each new season, we get a new map, weapons and of course battle pass with various new cosmetic items to unlock.

Battlefield 2042 Season 5 map
Season 5 map is named Reclaimed and it's set in a snow-covered region that features an abandoned factory. It reminds us of the legendary Zavod 311 map from Battlefield 4.
Here is the official description of the Reclaimed map:
"Defy all odds on a new battlefield set in Czechia around an abandoned industrial facility, slowly being retaken by nature. Face the heat of vertical crossfire by a disused turbine, engage in vehicular combat around the crash site of a derailed train, and survive an infantry meat grinder in a hidden bunker."

Battlefield 2042 Season 5 weapons and gadgets
Season five introduced a total of three brand-new weapons including a handgun, an assault rifle and a bolt-action rifle. Here's the list of weapons coming with Season Five:
- XCE Bar bolt-action rifle
- GEW-46 assault rifle
- BFP.50 hand cannon.

Additionally, we have three new grenades including a Spring Grenade, best for clearing out infantry, an anti-tank grenade for taking out vehicles and a mini grenade. Check them out below:

Overall, Season five has introduced plenty of fresh content for all Battlefield 2042 players with more on the way later in the season.
Battlefield 2042 had a rough launch but with constant content updates, it does look like DICE's shooter is back.
