DokeV development has accelerated since the gameplay reveal last year but the game won't be coming anytime soon since Pearl Abyss are prioritising the development of Crimson Desert.
Colourful creature-collecting action adventure DokeV will only release after Pearl Abyss wrap up the development and launch of their other big title - Crimson Desert - the developer seem to have confirmed in their latest earnings call.
Pearl Abyss say DokeV development has accelerated significantly since the last year's reveal but for "business purposes" the developer have decided to prioritise the work on Crimson Desert.
The update doesn't mean much since DokeV does not have a release date anyway but it gives us a clearer picture of when to expect this stunning and unique project.
Given that Crimson Desert too does not have a release date and was delayed from its original 2021 release date , it's safe to assume that we will be waiting for a while before DokeV sees the light of the day.
And that's not a bad thing at all. The development team should take all the time they need to make DokeV a memorable experience.
DokeV is confirmed to be launching on PC and consoles but we don't know what consoles. We assume the game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Given that Pearl Abyss are using their proprietary "next-gen engine" it's entirely possible that the last-gen platforms like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One won't be supported.
But that's just speculation so you should definitely wait for the official info, which will hopefully arrive soon.
