Pearl Abyss' stunning open-world action-adventure DokeV is currently targeting the 2022/2023 release window, the developer confirmed in the latest interview.
Update: We talked to Pearl Abyss PR regarding the mentioned release window. The spokesperson confirmed to us that "the game's release timing is still TBA, for now."
We suggest you take the 2022/2023 release window information with a grain of salt, just like any other rumour or unconfirmed info.
Original Story: A couple of weeks ago, Black Desert Online developer Pearl Abyss revealed their brand new title named DokeV , which is a creature-collecting open-world action-adventure, coming to PC and consoles. The Gamescom trailer, which showcased a huge chunk of the game world, took the world by storm but when everyone expected to hear about a release date, Pearl Abyss did not have anything to share.
And they had a good reason for that. It looks like DokeV won't be coming soon since the target release window for the game is 2022/2023, according to the latest dev interview , found by Reddit user roughsleeperUK .
To be fair, we totally expected to hear that DokeV won't be coming before 2023 so this is not a surprise to us. Pearl Abyss just showed us the game and while the world, the characters and the gameplay looked great, the optimisation wasn't quite there and you can bet that there is plenty of work to be done before DokeV arrives to PC and consoles.
DokeV should be Pearl Abyss's third major release since the studio also plan to publish their next big action RPG Crimson Desert in 2022.
