What Is a Ray Amplifier?
The Ray Amplifier is a Tier 3 crafting component that enhances your Cutteray tool. It's used for mining resources in precision-heavy areas like crystal caves which are scattered around the map. Once installed, it increases the tool's power and efficiency, allowing you to mine Tier 3 nodes like Erythrite safely and quickly.
It’s also required in crafting the Cutteray Mk3 and higher models, making it a bottleneck resource for late-game progression.
Where to Get a Ray Amplifier
You can acquire Ray Amplifiers in two main ways:
1. Shipwreck Loot
This is the best source of Ray Ampilifer. You can find it in falling shipwrecks scattered across Hagga Basin and Deep Desert.
Focus on Tier 2–5 wrecks—the higher the tier, the better the drop rate. Check for wrecks shortly after the Coriolis Storm, when they respawn.
2. Vendor – Traj Axxari
A more expensive way to get your hands on the Amplifier but if you're unlucky with the drop rate, pay a visit to the vendor in Hagga Basin.

How to Use Ray Amplifiers
Start by craft or upgrading a Cutteray Mk3 at a Fabricator Bench. Insert the amplifier into the tool’s mod slot or as a required component during crafting.
Then simply equip the Cutteray Mk3 and start mining high-tier crystals (Erythrite, Lazurite, etc.).
Additional tips for Farming Ray Amplifiers
- Join a clan: Larger clans can quickly control shipwreck zones after resets.
- Use a fast vehicle: Get to the wreck first and loot quickly—competition is fierce.
- Carry a portable Fabricator: Allows you to use the amplifier in the field.
