One of the most important resources is Erythrite Crystal, a rare Tier 3 material essential for crafting and refinement.

What Is Erythrite Crystal?

It’s also used in research and fabrication at your home base’s chemical refinery.

Where to Find Erythrite Crystal
The best place to farm the crystals is in deep cave systems across Hagga Rift. Look for vertical shafts, natural caverns, and CHOAM Extraction Facilities, especially those near downed ships or pit-style formations. One popular location that many players have discovered is Riftrun Passage, which features a massive drop leading into crystal-rich tunnels.

You'll notice Erythrite deposits straight away as they emit a faint pink glow, making them easier to spot in dark environments. You can also bring a flashlight or night vision gear to maximise visibility.

How to Mine Erythrite Crystal
Before you start your mining expedition, it's important to know that you can’t just walk up and chip this stuff off the wall with your starter gear. You'll need at least a Cutteray Mk2 or higher to successfully mine Erythrite without damaging the crystal or your tool. Investing in a Ray Amplifier upgrade (which boosts your Cutteray's efficiency) is highly recommended.
If you're not equipped to mine it yourself, you can also purchase Erythrite on the Exchange—but be warned, prices are quite steep as the demand is very high.
How to Use Erythrite Crystal
Once you've harvested enough, head to your Chemical Refinery. You can refine Erythrite into Cobalt Paste using the following recipe:
- Small Refinery: 3 Erythrite + 75 mL Water → 1 Cobalt Paste (15s)
- Medium Refinery: 2 Erythrite + 75 mL Water → 1 Cobalt Paste (10s)
This refined paste is essential for crafting high-end mods, gear enhancements, and select research projects.
