Apex Legends Season 31 will release on November 3rd 2026. There are many new changes that we will dive into below.
From Respawn we have the designer notes that go deeper into the new changes for Strongholds and the Akimbo Wingman. As well as Crypto and balance changes for legends and weapons.
Strongholds And Akimbo Wingman
Strongholds will be a new objective that spawns in every game. Along with Care packages there will be Strongholds spawning on the map. You will have to capture and defend these Strongholds to unlock what's inside. Once opened you will receive a Care package gun, gold gun's and other high tier items. When Strongholds spawn they will drop cover around them which can create firefights.
Akimbo will be getting the Wingman added to the roster. Every time you pull the trigger it will shoot two rounds one after another out of each gun. Respawn hopes to keep the guns skill ceiling while allowing more people to use them. The normal Hemlok Burst AR will be returning. Taking the place of the Elite Hemlok Breach AR.
Crypto Changes In Apex Legends
With the new changes to Crypto Respawn wants to decrease the time you're controlling his drone. The battery will now be 25 seconds and will auto recall when it runs out. He will also deploy faster and have better control. Once destroyed he will respawn quicker allowing you to be near your team.
The Drone can now scan all directions. When an enemy is scanned they will stay marked for 8 seconds even if they take cover. Crypto will also move to his teammates faster.
There will also be changes to his EMP. If the enemy is in line of sight of the drone they will take full shield damage and a larger slow. If they are in cover they will only take 50 shield damage and be slowed less.
Lifeline And Revenant Upgrades
Lifeline will now heal through her D.O.C more frequently. Her old upgrade that reduced her tactical cooldown will be her default. She will now have upgrades that will give her teammates a shield while being revived. And an upgrade that decreases her ultimate cooldown by 60 seconds.
Similar to Lifeline Revenant will get a decrease to his Tactical cooldown and Ultimate cooldown. He will now be able to get extra time on his ultimate when he knocks enemies. Previously he had a 35 second max on this. His new upgrade will give him silence when landing from his Tactical. And upgrades to allow him to refresh his ability or gain more time on his ultimate.
Loba Nerf And Axle Changes
Loba will see her Tactical cooldown increase from 25 seconds to 30 seconds. Her ultimate cooldown will increase from 120 seconds to 150 seconds.
We will also be looking at Axles movement and Kickstart. But these designer notes just recap the changes from the October 1st hotfix.
We know that the Prowler and Nemesis will be nerfed due to high usage and win rate. We don't know what numbers will change at this time.
When Does Apex Legends Season 31 Release?
Season 31 Cipher will be releasing on November 3rd 2026. Patch notes will be available on November 2nd 2026. With the new objective to complete during the mid game and weapon changes. Along with legend changes that we will cover below.
