Riot has shared some initial information regarding LoL Patch 26.22. There are quite a few champion balance changes coming as well as item changes. Expect 10 champions to be buffed and Locke, Thresh and Yasuo to be nerfed. Aurora, Mel and Renekton will also see changes.
Mel will be receiving her mini-update where her W will be changed. Overlord's Bloodmail and Doran's Bow and Doran's Blade will also be changed.
These are just some of the initial changes that we know about. Riot hasn't released any numbers just yet so we'll have to wait until the official patch notes drop to see how this all will affect the meta.
LoL Patch 26.22 Release Date
LoL Patch 26.22 will be live on Wednesday November 4th 2026. Riot states that these dates can be subject to change. Their patch schedule is based off of Pacific Time.

Champions getting Nerfed

Champions getting Adjustments

Items/Systems
- Overlord's Bloodmail - Buff

There are many high tier champions on the buff list. We don't know what will be changed just yet. Same goes for Aurora and Renekton who are getting adjusted.
Mel Will Have Her W Changed With Her Mini Update
As stated above Mel will be getting a mini update with patch 26.22. Riot wants to get rid of her ability reflecting projectiles back. But they want to keep her ability focused around deleting projectiles.
They hope to reduce the amount of frustration that people feel when playing against Mel. We will have to see what numbers and information is given once the patch notes come out.
Overlord's Bloodmail and Doran's Items Will Be Changed
Overlord's Bloodmail will be buffed with patch 26.22. We don't know what changes are coming to it.
Doran's Bow and Doran's Blade will also be getting changed. Maybe it's going to be balance changes to these two items? We'll have to see once the patch notes are released.
Patch 26.22 looks like it will have many champions affected. Once we see more patch notes we can get a better idea of what Riot wants to change with this patch.
