Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will receive it's first season on November 6th 2026. This will include many new updates for multiplayer and DMZ. There will be new maps and more content added to Warzone as well. Here is what we know so far.
There will be three new maps added at the start of Season 1. Backstab is set in a battle zone with destroyed tanks, empty buildings and drones dropping bombs. You'll have to deal with bad weather while trying to defeat your opponents.
Canyon will take place in an area that's full of high rocky cliffs. You will be shooting near a river with different paths to travel. Convoy Ambush and Cliff Path are just some of the routes you can take. Shoot House is coming back but will take place in the snowy climate of North Korea.
Two modes will also be added to Multiplayer. Grind allows players to pick up Dog Tags from killed enemies and bring them to the Bank. Once deposited you will gain points for your team. Drop Zone is another mode that will be included. You will try to capture a rotating location while Killstreak packages spawn in the area.
Season 1 Will Have More Content Mid Season
Ministry and Overflow will be added mid season. Ministry will take place at a destroyed Embassy that was being used for a diplomatic conference. Overflow has a Factory that is surrounded by farms.
A new mode called Counter Attack will also be added. Similar to Defuse you will need to plant bombs on the enemy's Comm Station while defending yours.
X01 Weapons Facility Will Be Added To DMZ
A hidden weapon facility will be introduced in DMZ called X01. It's currently occupied by enemies and has tons of tunnels and dangers. You'll need to have your squad prepared for whatever they throw at you.
You won't always be able to make it out of X01. When extraction points start to shut down you'll need to complete your objective and try to get out.
There will be new DMZ Orders and Resupply Runs added to X01 as well. Threat Briefings will be focused on killing high value targets. Some of these targets may include Commanders.
Two New Maps For Warzone
Hajin and Zodiac will be added to Warzone. We will learn more about these maps and other content coming to Season 1 later. Make sure to check back on our Roadmap for more info.
Two New Weapons Will Be Added
The Cronen Osprey Assault Rifle and CSG-35 SMG will be added in Season 1. The Cronen Osprey has fast movement and average damage. The CSG-35 will have one of the fastest rates of fire in it's class.
Over 100 Rewards Will Be Included In The Season 1 Battle Pass
As stated earlier there will be over 100 rewards in the Battle Pass. Some of these rewards include Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints and Finishing Moves. There will be many more added as well.
The new catch up system will allow you to get rewarded if you fall behind. You will automatically get all rewards up to the current day in the season. This will only go up to day 50. The Season 1 Battle Pass will be 100 tiers long.
