Yesterday, Sony officially announced PlayStation State of Play event after many weeks of rumours and speculation. The publisher confirmed in a blog post that State of Play will be around half an hour in length with new game announcements for PlayStation 5 and VR but also news from Sony's first-party studios.
Sony also confirmed that the show will feature a total of 14 games, which is the first time that the publisher have revealed the actual number of titles they plan to show.
Today, a full list of those games has surfaced online and it looks pretty credible. The list was shared by a new leaker who got a lot of things right in the past but has gone mostly unnoticed until today. The leaker made a thread of vague posts on social media X, teasing the games that will be at the State of Play but players quickly deciphered his riddles and came up with a very exciting list. Check it out below.
Leaked State of Play games
- New Astro Bot game
- Marvel Rivals Console Port
- God of War Ragnarok PC port
- A new Five Nights At Freddy's game
- A new Dynasty Warrior game
- Alien: Rogue Incursion (VR)
- Path of Exile 2
- Monster Hunter: Wilds
- Silent Hill 2 Remake
- Phantom Blade Zero
- A New game from the Middle East
- A new VR Game
- Until Dawn PC and PS5 port
- Concord
So, what makes this list so believable? Well, first, it's not jam-packed with some unrealistic announcements like Ghost of Tsushima 2, The Last of Us Part 3 or Wolverine.
It does have some world premieres but nothing too spectacular that is usually not announced at Sony's State of Play shows. The list seems quite reasonable and some may even call it a bit boring, which is why I think it's real.
But, State of Play is imminent anyway so we'll see for ourselves if the list is indeed legit or not.
