Helldivers 2 Update 7.1.0: Weapon buffs, enemy spawn changes and more
Enemy spawns now dynamically adjust based on player spread during missions, redistributing pressure to prevent some players from experiencing no combat while others are overwhelmed

Helldivers 2 Update 7.1.0 changes enemy spawning, increases Evacuate High-Value Assets difficulty, buffs weapons and makes several gameplay improvements.

Helldivers 2 got updated with patch 7.1.0 which includes many balance changes and quality of life changes. Along with those there are changes to enemy spawns as well to allow Helldivers to have a similar experience if they spread out during a mission.

Some Weapons and stratagems were also buffed or nerfed. The Evacuate High Value Assets mission type will also be made much harder.

Helldivers 2 Update 7.1.0 Changes Enemy Spawns

Enemy Pressure will now be changed when splitting up during a mission. Enemies will now take into account the amount of enemies as well as how far they are from each Helldiver.

Once enemies are hitting there cap for performance they will spawn near Helldivers who have less pressure. If enemies are too far they can also despawn when over budget.

This should help prevent one player from having little to nothing happen around them because they have more enemies spawned around another player.

The Evacuate High-Value Assets mission has also been made more difficult:

  • Maximum number of enemy waves increased.
  • Starting time between waves reduced from 60 to 42 seconds.
  • End-of-mission wave intervals reduced from 40 to 28 seconds.
  • Maximum gap between waves reduced from 10 to 2 seconds.
  • More enemies can spawn during individual waves.
  • Encounter points increase more aggressively as the mission progresses.
  • Additional encounter points are added when more players are present.
  • SEAF troops can now spawn when applicable.
  • Loot locations and weapons have been randomised.
  • Three random loot groups can contain ammunition, health kits, grenades and weapons.
  • Ten common samples have been added to the mission.
  • Generator health percentages are now displayed in the UI.
