Highly-anticipated multiplayer shooter Concord is set for another reveal in the next 15 days according to reliable insider billbil-kun. The game which is developed by Firewalk Studios and published by PlayStation 5 will reportedly showcase some playable characters as well as some gameplay footage.
The insider states that the game is inspired by Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy universe and interestingly, claims that the game was planned for Sony's February State of Play but due to issues with the PC version, the reveal had to be delayed.
If true, this would mean that Sony and Firewalk probably plan to announce a closed beta along with the new trailer to allow players to try the game and build hype as we head towards release.
This upcoming reveal is probably scheduled for the rumoured PlayStation Showcase, which is expected to be coming in late May or early June. There's also a small possibility that Concord gets a reveal at Summer Game Fest but I think it's more likely that Sony want their game at their own show.
In terms of what the gameplay could show, I fully expect to see some explosive action and the game's first maps as well as customisable weapons which we've seen in the teaser trailer.
We don't know much about Concord other than it's a PVP multiplayer shooter set in a sci-fi universe. Some recent rumours suggested that the game is described as Sea of Thieves in space.
Concord will be another live-service game from Sony following the mega-successful Helldivers 2. The company are all in on live service games since their acquisition of Bungie so expect to see more similar projects being announced soon.
