Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will not exclude the old PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the newest game title in the popular first-person shooter franchise developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. The game will provide various gameplay features, such as Zombie mode, Multiplayer and Campaign. 

And, according to unofficial information, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will reportedly also appear on the previous generation of consoles (PlayStation 4, Xbox One). It seems that Call of Duty is still not ready to discard the "burden" of old hardware and fully dedicate itself to current consoles, with a standard PC edition. 

Namely, it has been noticed that the GameStop retail chain is internally preparing orders for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the upcoming game Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

In case this information turns out to be true, this shouldn't be too much of a surprise. We recently found out that the old PlayStation 4 still has around 59 million active users on a monthly basis, and this is a number that Call of Duty cannot simply ignore.

Previous transitions of the Call of Duty series to newer hardware have not been quick, but they have been significantly shorter. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 received new CoD games three years after the launch of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.

If Black Ops 6 is indeed planned for PS4 and Xbox, it will be the fifth CoD game for the old consoles after the launch of the newer hardware. Previous Black Ops installments have had much success, with high number of players and sales.

However, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expected to come in a few years, but the concrete release date hasn't been announced yet. In the end, we must say that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4's Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 version will bring much success to the game.
