Another day, another Destiny 2 cheat maker loses millions of dollars. Let's hope this is not the last time it happens.

Destiny 2 has a ton of aim assistance on its own but some people apparently can't hit the broad side of a barn with a Jottun which prompts them to buy cheats to help them out with the game.

Bungie already affirmed their stance on the matter and they have previously cracked down hard on cheat makers, leaving the latest escapade as just one in a long line.

That said, we would be happy to see the line extend as far as the eye can see.

This time around, Bungie came after LaviCheats and won $6.7 million in court. Mind you, this is not the result of a settlement - a court assigned this amount after the company won against the cheat makers and long may that continue.

I am not usually one to find joy in someone else's misery but these guys did get themselves filthy rich by selling software that ruins countless players' experience in a video game they paid for.

Why bother cheating when you can just ape someone with this bad boy

The lawsuit took over a year to yield fruit as Bungie filed it in 2021 but it did eventually end in a favourable result as LaviCheats had to pay out the aforementioned sum as well as attorney fees and they earned themselves a permanent injunction.

One of the reasons why the result went this way was that the man behind LaviCheats, Kunal Bansal, didn't appear in court as scheduled.

In any case, this is another one in the string of victories over cheat makers which should hopefully send a message they should stay away from Destiny 2.
