Destiny 2 has hit a rough patch with the news of Bungie employees getting fired following a failure to come close to revenue targets, which put both the company and the game in a precarious position.
As such, the player base is a bit suspicious about the next steps since Bungie has a history of over monetising the game and pulling moves that are terrible for the Guardians.
It is for this reason that the hype around the Witcher crossover is somewhat dampened but you have to admit, those outfits look really cool.
Witcher ornaments will arrive when Season of the Wish launches on November 28, 2023.
Normally, one would assume they would be a part of the Season Pass but it wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility that they are separated and players would be nickel and dimed for every part of cool content.
Currently, there is no official confirmation which way the ornaments will swing but players are already assuming the worst - that the sets will cost $20 each, meaning $60 for a grand total of three armour sets.
Let it sink in for a moment - that is how much it would cost to get a brand new game and this is what Bungie is asking for outfits in a first-person game.
One could, for example, spend the same amount of money to buy Baldur's Gate 3 instead, a game that is the heavy favourite for just about all Game of the Year nominations in 2023. Or you could buy Jagged Alliance 3, another fantastic title with the potential for hundreds of hours of fun and still have $30 to spare.
