Where Winds Meet is preparing players for its upcoming Hidden Mountain expansion’s next chapter and shared a new gameplay trailer that dives into more details about what players can expect. Chapter 2: Heaven’ s Threshold releases on August 20.
The gameplay trailer shines a spotlight on the new locations players will find themselves in when embarking on Hidden Mountain’s second chapter. Everything from serene meadows, wide-open plains, crumbling structures, and ancient ruins make an appearance.
Players will also have to contend with mechanical threats that inhabit the world. Several machines are on display in the trailer, hinting at a greater presence of mechanical enemies.
New and Unusual Threats
As highlighted in the trailer, Where Winds Meet’s next chapter won’t just be full of standard creatures that try and kill the player. There are a handful of unique enemies and mechanical menaces that will force players to think on their feet.
One mechanical enemy in particular catches the eye. A large mechanical serpent appears capable of transforming into a mechanical scarab-like machine.
Players will have larger mechanical foes to watch out for as well. These massive threats will likely require players to mix up their strategy if they hope to see victory instead of relying on what worked in previous chapters.
