Is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Xbox Game Pass is a major subscription service used by players on Xbox and PC. The exclusive service usually features titles from different developers and publishers, especially from Microsoft-owned studios like Activision Blizzard and Infinity Ward.
Now, fans of the Call of Duty series and Game Pass owners are wondering if the game will be available on the service on day one. Unfortunately, Infinity Ward has confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will not be available on Xbox Game Pass after launch.
Unlike Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, where access was automatically granted for subscribers of select Game Pass plans, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will not be available on day one. The game might be added later on before the next title's release.
Aside from pulling the new title away from Xbox Game Pass, Infinity Ward has also announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will only be available on next-gen consoles, Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5.
Pre-orders and pre-purchases have rolled in live for XBOX Series X|S, XBOX on PC, PlayStation 5, Battle.net, and Steam. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will officially become available on October 23, 2026.
