Destiny 2 players have the chance to access years of content for free ahead of The Edge of Fate expansion’s launch on July 15. From July 8 through July 22, all expansions and Episodes will be unlocked on every platform and storefront. PlayStation players, Xbox users, Steam and the Epic Games Store are all included.
Free access includes loot, cosmetics, currencies, Titles, and Triumphs earned during the event, which can be kept after July 22.
Destiny 2’s open access period is an opportunity to relive favorites like The Witch Queen’s campaign, wander around Lightfall, or even experience the most recent Episode: Heresy in its entirety. This is a chance to experience a large volume of content and there is something for every kind of player.
Dungeons and Rite of the Nine Event
The open access window to content is also a great time for players to catch up before The Edge of Fate’s July 15 release. Players new to the game can experience Bungie’s ever-changing looter-shooter world, while existing players can complete outstanding triumphs or earn some missed rewards.
It also is a good opportunity to complete your arsenal and cosmetics before diving into Kepler and her enigmatic new location.
Bungie has not confirmed if all Dungeons will be open, but The Rite of the Nine event will guarantee access to at least three of them, including Prophecy, Spire of the Watcher, and Ghosts of the Deep.
These three endgame PvE experiences each have their own loot pool and are a good primer for any Guardian getting ready for the next step.
Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate launches on July 15 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC.
