Electronic Arts and DICE team have today revealed Battlefield 2042's Season 2 named Master of Arms, which is officially launching on August 30 across all platforms.
The new season brings with fresh content, including a new map, Specialist, weapons and hardware, updates to Battlefield Portal and 100 tiers of Battle Pass content.
Season 2 content is available to all players but as always you'll have to purchase the Battle Pass to access some of the new skins and other perks.
New map: Stranded
The brand new map is called Stranded and it's set in Panama, where you'll fight in a drained lake and a shipwrecked tanker: the Starg Ceres, now serving as an illicit arms trading hub.
Players will fight for control over this dark market hive of military hardware. Upon entering the Starg Ceres, players will find an environment that favours close-quarters combat, with a high density of cover and short distances between objectives.
Specialist Charlie Crawford
Ex-arms dealer Charlie Crawford joins the fray in Season 2 as Battlefield 2042’s newest Specialist. He rocks Mounted Vulcan stationary minigun, which is also usable by other Specialists, once placed. Crawford's Cache Point ability can revive fallen teammates and refill their gadget supply.
New Weapons, vehicles and more
Season 2: Master of Arms also brings with it an arsenal of new weapons, new vehicles and a new gadget.
The new AM40 is a powerful carbine, designed to offer a midpoint between an assault rifle and a submachine gun.
DON'T MISS: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer reveal is coming later than expected
Avancys is a high-tech light machine gun that maximizes mobility and attachment compatibility, ideal for intel-gatherers who want to provide fire support.
The PF51, on the other hand, is an SMG - pistol combo with features a huge magazine, ideal for fighting groups of enemies.
The new Concussion Grenade is a throwable gadget designed to temporarily confuse and disorient to give you and your squad a tactical edge.
EBLC-RAM is the new vehicle. It's a four-seater that can manoeuvre efficiently at lower speeds and place a beacon on which the whole team may spawn.
Additionally, coming in the first update of the season, players will also have access to the fast and fun Polaris RZR, a lightweight buggy designed to zip around the terrain.
