Where Winds Meet - How to deal with Enchanting Lotus

There are many flowers followed by corresponding butterflies in Where Winds Meet, but the purple flowers (Enchanted Lotus - Miasma) are the most mysterious ones. Here is how to pick them up.

While exploring the vast world of Where Winds Meet, you'll come across many butterflies which you can follow, and all of them will lead you to some reward: the red ones will lead to the shrines with the incense sticks, the golden ones to the golden flowers which will spawn the reward after a couple of seconds, and the purple ones, which will start poisoning you as soon as you approach them.

Once you come close to the purple flowers surrounded by the same coloured butterflies, the poison will start building up, and if you manage to escape the area, you'll stay unharmed; however, if you stay for too long, you'll start losing health.

If you don't know how to deal with those flowers and what their secret is, we have a guide that will explain this in-game mechanic to you step-by-step.

How to deal with the purple flowers (Enchanted Lotus)

Enchanted Lotus will poison you if you stay too close to it, and I must admit, I actually avoided those flowers for a huge chunk of the game, thinking their function was exactly that: to poison you, and they simply must be avoided, but I couldn't be more wrong.

Enchanted Lotus can be picked up, like any other flower in the game; you must only know how. To do it, you need to destroy the butterflies that surround it. Sometimes you can get creative and deal with the butterflies like we did in the video below, but basically, it is enough just to shoot butterflies.

Sometimes there will be more than one group of butterflies guarding the flower, and they will be well-hidden as well. To find them easily, just engage the Wind Sense ability and follow the trail left by the butterflies. Once you locate them, just shoot them down, simple as that.

After cleansing the Enchanted Lotus, you'll gain some experience, perception and exploration points, and, of course, the Enchanted Lotus itself, which will be used later in crafting and levelling your character.
