Mystic arts (special skills) can change the gameplay drastically in Where Winds Meet, and since there is a really large pool of them to choose from, your playstyle can differ a lot from the other people, depending mostly on the choice of mystic arts, martial arts, and weapons you're using.
Many mystic arts are tied to exploration quests, and if you're not paying enough attention, you can easily miss them, and by doing so, you can miss some very cool and useful mechanics, like Veil of Stillness definitely is.
Veil of Stillness will make you go fully invisible and will allow you to do stealth on the entire new level. So if you don't know where to get this mystic art, we have a guide with the answers.
Where to obtain the Veil of Stillness skill?
Veil of Stillness is a skill theft, just like the ones you copy from animals, like Tai Chi from the bear or Leaping Toad from the frog; only this time, you'll steal the skill from a person.
To locate this person, open up the map and navigate to the central part of Qinghe to a region called Peace Bell Tower. Here, you'll notice a green quest icon called 'Skill Theft: Unearned Lesson' (see the map below). Mark this place and make your way to the beginning of the quest. How to use Veil of Stillness?
Once you unlock the skill, enter the side panel by pressing the options button (PlayStation controller) or the Esc button (keyboard), navigate to the 'Develop' tab, and enter. Under 'Abilities', choose 'Mystic Skills' and set Veil of Stillness to any free slot.
Upon doing that, press and hold R2 and then press the corresponding command for the Veil of Stillness skill. Once engaged, this skill will make the hero almost completely invisible, hence for a short period of time. However, once you engage in combat, the skill will be nullified, and you won't be able to use it until you regain stealth again.
Can Veil of Stillness be upgraded?
Unfortunately, no. This mystic art is categorised as a supportive skill, and even though some skills under this category can be upgraded, this one cannot. Still, this skill is very powerful and will change the stealth completely, so once again, we strongly advise you not to sleep on this one; it can be a game-changer.
