Titans love punching things more than anything and it looks like their favourite fantasy is coming back in Season 18 of Destiny 2.
For those not in the know, shoulder charge abilities for all three Light subclasses used to one-shot Guardians in PvP and while it was annoying at times, the issue was largely mitigated by the shotgun meta.
However, Bungie decided Titans have had enough of one-punching enemies and nerfed the abilities, with Peregrine Greaves being the only way to do it successfully to this day. With Arc 3.0, a one-shot melee will return for Titans.
It will be called Thunderclap and will have the Titans charge up a melee attack in what sounds to be similar fashion to Warlocks' Handheld Supernova. The Titan needs to remain stationary while charging though.
Getting the charge up to 90 per cent will allow you to one-shot a Guardian so the high-risk high-reward approach is highly emphasised here.
While the new melee ability counters the Titans' mobility, they will have a new movement passive that will basically provide them with Hunter Dodge. Tapping the same directional button will thrust them in a direction but the Titan will remain in first person during the animation.
