The Destiny 2 Into the Light update will introduce numerous balancing adjustments, including both buffs and nerfs, to the game. This free update promises to deliver a wealth of content to Destiny 2 enthusiasts, including the return of beloved weapons and the introduction of new modes. 

As is customary with significant updates, a series of balancing tweaks will accompany the release.

General Weapon Changes

  • Grenade Launchers (Breech-Loaded):
    • Increased impact damage by 40%.
    • Reduced disorienting grenade radii (both damage and disorienting) by 15%.
  • Lightweight Bows:
    • Increased lightweight Bow base damage by 6% (Le Monarque and Wish-Ender are not affected).
  • Auto Rifles – Precision (450 RPM):
    • Reduced base damage by 5%.
  • Hand Cannon:
    • Precision Hand Cannons:
      • Increased base damage by 6%.
    • Adaptive Hand Cannons:
      • Increased body shot damage by 1%.
      • Increased critical hit damage by 4%.
  • Pulse Rifle:
    • Rapid-Fire:
      • Increased body shot damage by 3.5%.

    • Lightweight:

  • Micro-Missile:
    • Redesigned to be a weapon intrinsic with less direct damage vs. players but more self-physics impulse.
  • Permeability:
    • Fixed an issue with The Slammer Sword getting stuck on the Strand damage type.

Crucible-only Changes

  • Reduced flinch taken by all Primary weapons by 15%.
  • Increased Precision damage by 11%.
  • Reduced base damage by 5%.
  • Corrected ammo amounts from meter rewards and crates.
