Bungie are about to give Warlocks the closest thing to Palpatine impersonation with Arc 3.0 and it won't even require the usage of the Super.

Destiny 2 Warlocks have mostly favoured Solar specs in PvP, with periods of Void domination due to former broken states of the Handheld Supernova and a certain roaming Super that was nerfed into the ground.

During a short period of time, there was the Geomag dominance that brought Arc to the forefront but that is no longer the case, following a set of nerfs. Come August 23, 2022, we have a strong feeling Arc will become a fan favourite once again.

If you're into Star Wars, you will probably be yelling "UNLIMITED POWEEER" into your screen as you go around electrocuting groups of Guardians and combatants.

Besides Stormtrance, the Super that already let you do that, Bungie is aiming to introduce a new melee ability called Chain Lightning. It will zap an enemy and then chain to nearby enemies while also jolting them.

Chain Lightning mechanics were previously available through the Arc Web passive but even that didn't have Jolt, which is a new debuff that is coming with Arc 3.0.

When you Jolt an enemy, they will emit damaging lightning chains to nearby allies, doing damage on top of the regular Chain Lightning. In other words, get ready for Seventh Column Warlocks all over the place.

This should be especially fun in Control, a mode that is both 6v6 for those additional targets and it promotes grouping up on control zones. Have fun wiping out entire groups with just one melee. Bring Monte Carlo so you can have it up all the time.
