Destiny 2 is about to run another annual event / competition that is Guardian Games and there is a slight twist to it this year.

Guardian Games is not exactly one of the more popular events in Destiny 2 , mostly because Bungie find a way to mess it up in some way, every year.

The event's "competitive" part was half-baked from the very beginning and so far it seems like the results each year were just a result of skewed point counting instead of reflecting the players' efforts.

Another complaint about the event the players had previously is that PvPers would get stuck doing things they don't like but this year is bringing a way for them to find some enjoyment.

This time around, there will be a game mode called Guardian Games: Supremacy, which is basically just Supremacy with a simple but themed twist - teams consist of only one class.

Therefore, you will be seeing a bunch of Titans squaring off against a bunch of Hunters or Warlocks, which technically sounds fun but if they all start spamming bubbles, it could have unforeseen consequences.

Each time a Guardian is defeated, they will leave a crest behind, which the opposing team needs to pick up to score.

Bungie didn't forget the PvP community when it comes to the associated quests either. There will be one that can be completed, just like the quest for Guardian Games Ops.

Guardian Games kick off on May 2 and wrap up on May 23, 2023.
