Patch 13.11 followed up with additional balance changes, while Patch 13.12 aimed to address certain issues that arose from these updates.
Although the game as a whole faces numerous challenges, the issues observed in professional play serve as a reflection of these broader problems. Patch 13.12 attempted to tackle some of these issues, but one aspect that Riot missed was the itemization of Statikk Shiv for mage champions.
Mage champions have increasingly been opting for Statikk Shiv due to its AP ratio and wave-clearing capabilities. The prominence of this build became even more apparent when professional players started abusing it, with LeBlanc being a notable example.
Riot Phreak has announced that changes are incoming for Statikk Shiv in Patch 13.13. These changes will involve a nerf to the Minion AP Ratio damage and the removal of the interaction with dashes. These adjustments are aimed at reducing the item's effectiveness for champions like LeBlanc and other mage assassins.
While the decrease in Minion AP Ratio will impact most mages, the removal of the dash interaction specifically targets mage assassins.
Although the exact details of these changes have yet to be revealed, Riot is expected to release further information soon.
Players can anticipate significant adjustments to Statikk Shiv in Patch 13.13, as Riot aims to bring significant impact and changes to the game.
