In 2019, Riot Games announced multiple new projects at the League of Legends 10th anniversary, including an animated show based on the game's universe called Arcane. The show was produced by Studio Fortiche and overseen by Riot Games, and it premiered on Netflix in November 2021.

Arcane's storyline centers around the conflict between Piltover and Zaun, and it delves into the detailed lore of several existing League of Legends champions, including Vi, Jinx, Ekko, Singed, Viktor, Jayce, Caitlyn, and Heimerdinger.

Overall, Arcane is an exciting addition to the League of Legends universe, exploring new aspects of the game's world while also providing insight into familiar characters' backstories.

In a recent interview on the Chinese video-sharing platform Bilibili, the CEO of Riot Games, Nicolo Laurent, was asked about the release date for Arcane season 2. He revealed that he had already watched the third episode of the second season before flying to China, but it's not ready yet for release.

The CEO cited two reasons for the delay: first, fans expect high-quality content, so they can't rush the production, and second, the unexpected success of the first season meant that Riot Games didn't start production early enough. As a result, season 2 will not be released in 2023.

Arcane was a success among both existing fans and newcomers. Its standalone story allowed everyone to fully enjoy the show without prior knowledge of the game's lore. As a result, Arcane has become one of the best shows ever aired on Netflix, with a 100% critics score and a 96% audience score on rating websites.
