One of the Destiny 2 stats with the most hectic balancing history is getting changed again.
Titans will be unhappy with the upcoming changes in Destiny 2 : Lightfall as they involve nerfing their main attribute - Resilience.
While it rose to prominence during Witch Queen, we suspect fewer builds will strive for 10 Resilience in Lightfall due to the nerf that will cause the stat to have less impact when maxed out.
In an interview with PC Gamer, Bungie stated that having 100 Resilience at the moment provides 40 per cent damage reduction against PvE enemies but it will provide only 30 per cent reduction when the next expansion launches.
On the other hand, having less Resilience will not be as painful as it was before since the devs will straighten the curve of benefits you get for investing in the stats.
In simpler terms, lower tiers of Resilience should provide more protection than before. Still, it's highly recommended to bring as much as possible to higher-end content in PvE to prevent excessive one-shotting by high-powered bullet sponges.
For PvP, there aren't any major changes when it comes to Resilience so it's really up to you to decide which sweet spot you want to choose in order to survive that extra bullet from a particular weapon archetype.
