Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is delivering yet another gameplay trailer ahead of its release later this year and there’s quite a bit to talk about. While the marketing cycle for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced hasn’t really lasted very long at all, the changes we’re seeing with each showcase have us hopeful this will be far more than just a graphical upgrade.
For starters, we finally get a proper look at Edward Kenway returning and how some revamped mechanics are coming into play for both stealth and traversal as they continue enhancing these formulas while still respecting the original game.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is set to release July 9 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Stealth is a big focus of course as social stealth features are back allowing Edward to weave through crowds, sit on benches, and cause distractions with NPCs to pick his battles.
Players will also be able to crouch while standing anywhere they please, giving more player agency during stealth segments. Traversal feels more fluid than ever with upgrades to the parkour system allowing for smooth movement across cities and nature alike.
The Leap of Faith returns as well helping retain the identity of the series while showcasing upgraded animations.Of course, weather will once again play a big factor as players expect thanks to the Atmos system.
Realistic rain and wind effects can be seen as players traverse the open world as trees bend with the wind and other objects react as you’d expect them to. While we know the map will be basically the same overall, Ubisoft states that the world will feel much denser with new islands and expansions to existing locations.
While the Hidden Blade won’t technically act as its own weapon this time around, fans should be pleased with the upgrades to movement and depth within environments.
