Borderlands 4 is an action role-playing first-person looter shooter game developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K, which was released worldwide on September 12, 2025. It is a direct sequel to Borderlands 3 and the fifth entrant to the Borderlands series.
As a newly released title, 2K is providing players with exclusive Shift codes each month to claim different in-game rewards such as golden keys and weapons. Here are the Shift codes for the month of May 2026 in Borderlands 4.

The golden keys you get through the Shift codes can be used to open golden chests in the game. The golden chests in the game are the quickest gateway to getting free weapons and gear in no time.
You can redeem these Shift codes in Borderlands 4 through the in-game Shift system, which can be found in the menu of the game. These codes can also be redeemed through the Shift official website through the Reward tab on the homepage. However, in order to do so, you need to link your Shift account to the platform you're playing Borderlands 4 on.
The codes usually remain available for a few weeks at a time, so make sure to redeem these codes as soon as you can to get the exclusive rewards in no time. We will update the codes list with new ones as soon as they are made available by 2K.
