Many muggles will get to experience the magic of the Wizarding World according to Steam stats.
Preordering digital games has been a point of contention among gamers for a long time now but the hype has once again prevailed according to the latest Steam charts.
Hogwarts Legacy was the biggest earner on Valve 's platform in the week that started with Monday, January 16, 2023, almost a month before the game will be officially released.
This testifies that too many gamers are still inexplicably paying upfront to reserve their copy of something that cannot run out of supply but there is no denying Hogwarts Legacy is a highly appealing title.
That said, the top sellers on Steam are a bit odd and here is the full ranking :

Cyberpunk 2077 placing so high may seem unusual but the game has been on a 50 per cent off sale that is still going on.
In the case of RDR2, we are not quite sure what happened with the ranking but one of them could refer to Red Dead Online, which comes without the singleplayer campaign.
Another surprise entry is GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition which is still in poor shape after the disastrous launch. GTA V is also trending in the same week a massive exploit occurred that could cause people to get banned permanently through no fault of their own.
