Developer Playground Games has announced that Forza Horizon 6 has gone gold. The studio took to Twitter to confirm that development on the game is complete in the lead up to its release next month.
Achieving gold means that a final version of the game has been completed and is ready to be delivered to manufacturing partners. It’s still likely that the game will receive patches when it launches, but this means the development is now considered complete.
In addition to sharing the news that Forza Horizon 6 has gone gold, Playground Games have provided some more information on radio stations players can tune into whilst driving around the map, as well as the accessibility options available.
Game features its biggest radio lineup yet
Forza Horizon 6 will include “the biggest lineup of music yet” across nine different radio stations. These stations will feature dozens of different genres ranging from electronic, drum & bass, indie rock, hip-hop, synthwave and “even modern classical”.
Radio stations returning for the sixth entry in the franchise include Horizon Pulse, Horizon Bass Arena, Horizon XS and Horizon Wave. The developers have also introduced three new stations without going into further detail.
Accessibility features and Post-Launch plans
As for accessibility features, Forza Horizon 6 includes AutoDrive to help with driving and Proximity Radar to detect vehicles around you. There’s also a new high-contrast mode to increase visibility in-game.
Returning accessibility features include full controller remapping, subtitles, screen narration, field-of-view adjustments (PC only), colour-blind filters and options to customise difficulty levels and driving assists.
Game will get support for ASL and BSL sign language after launchPost-launch, Playground Games say support for American Sign Language (ASL) and British Sign Language (BSL) will be added to the game’s cinematics. This support will be delivered through picture-in-picture narration.
