League of Legends Patch 26.10 preview notes have been released and it looks to be another major balance patch as Riot continues tweaking the Season 2 meta. With such huge system changes recently in Patch 26.9, it’s looking like Riot plans to hold off until the dust settles before implementing more game wide changes.
Patch 26.10 is set to release on May 13th, 2026 according to Riot Games. Remember that this is just a preview and any of the champions on this list could be added or changed before the patch goes live. However, we can likely expect the meta to swing in the direction of these champions soon.
There are buffs, nerfs, and general adjustments being made to both high and low priority picks. Riot seems to be looking to balance out some of the heavier damaging champions with more utility or engage picks.
Champion Buffs
Ambessa is still a relatively new champion so she’s always been under a close watch by Riot. We can likely expect some small tweaks to help her find her place rather than just straight power increases.
Galio and Wukong having buffs is a good sign that Riot wants more engage and teamfighting presence in their games. Zeri is always a bit questionable as small buffs can easily overpowere both solo and professional queues.
Champion Nerfs
Both Ashe and Anivia are very flexible champions so they were likely seeing a lot of play due to their power and ability to fit into any team composition.
Naafiri, Shyvana, and Zed’s presence on this list tells me Riot is looking to scale back on some of the higher damaging champions.Zed will always be a weird one as he only needs slight buffs to become overpowered.
Champion Adjustments
Adjustments typically mean Riot is looking to change up how a champion plays. They can change play patterns, balance out areas of their kit that are overpowered or underpowered, and open up alternate builds.
Quinn’s adjustment might have something to do with the coming season as well so she’ll be one to look out for in Patch 26.10.
Patch 26.9 was absolutely jam packed with new toys for players to play with in League, and Patch 26.10 is looking to be Riot’s first swing at tuning some of the biggest balance offenders.
Final Thoughts
Deathfire Touch and Gluttonous Greaves are undoubtedly the biggest system nerfs, while Lich Bane and Stormraider’s Surge are being buffed to feel more rewarding. Zeri, Zed, Ashe, Lee Sin, Quinn, and Ambessa are all mentioned in the champion preview, but exact numbers have not been revealed yet.
For that reason, it’s hard to confidently identify clear winners and losers in the patch. However, with 6 champions already mentioned there’s enough ammo here for players to get worried.
