Blizzard has temporarily removed a few bits of content from Overwatch 2 in order to implement fixes before unleashing it all back.

Bastion has been missing from Overwatch 2 for a long time now. In fact, the time he has been absent from the game is two and a half times long than he was in the game before coming back.

Blizzard removed the hero on October 10, six days after the game's release, due to a bug that allowed him to use the ultimate more times than what was intended.

A total of 15 days will have passed by the time Bastion gets reactivated on October 25, 2022, finally bringing the high-damage robot back into the game.

While his time-out was the most egregious, Bastion is not the only part of Overwatch 2 the devs disabled temporarily.

Torbjorn has been missing from Competitive for the same period of time because his Overload ability had a similar bug where it could last longer than intended but it wasn't as game-breaking as free artillery shots so the Swedish engineer remained active in unranked modes.

Additionally, Junker Town map was removed from rotation due to a bug that allowed laser weapon enthusiasts such as Zarya and Symmetra to shoot a particular point in the attacker spawn which would cause a mess of particle effects and drop everyone's frame rate.

All of the aforementioned bugs have apparently been fixed and all the content is supposed to come back on October 25, 2022.
