The June 2024 Retail Patch Notes include general updates to the Live version of Overwatch, with balance changes that impact Quick Play, Competitive Play, Arcade, and Custom Games.

Overwatch 2 hits a milestone with 100 million players, highlighted by the much-anticipated return of Pink Mercy and a new Rose Gold Mercy Bundle. From June 25 to July 8, 2024, Blizzard will donate all proceeds from the purchase (minus platform fees and taxes) to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

You can join the festivities by completing challenges to unlock the Aztec Sombra Bundle and enjoy a special Community Crafted mode designed by popular streamers.

Blizzard just made a bunch of changes and updates to the game as well as introduced a new map. Here are all the highlights:

Community Crafted Mode

Overwatch 2 just introduced a new Community Crafted mode featuring inventive balance changes and fun tweaks to heroes, inspired by your favorite content creators. Emongg, Custa, TQQ, and Eskay have put their unique spin on Tank, projectile Damage, hitscan Damage, and Support heroes. Get ready for quirky abilities like Baptiste sharing his kit with Ana, and Reaper's Wraith Form gaining an extra edge.

Hero Mastery Updates

Players can refine their skills with Hero Mastery single-player courses for Kiriko and Soldier: 76, launching this season. They can take on new challenges in a limited-time event from June 20 to July 9 to earn up to 22,500 Battle Pass XP and exclusive rewards.

Challenges and Competitive Updates

Now players can catch up on past Weekly Challenges throughout the season. Incomplete challenges gain an additional copy at the Weekly Reset on Tuesdays, and completed challenges refresh for replay if copies remain. Weekly Milestones now unlock sequentially and can be completed anytime during the season.

You can now track your exact rank percentage on the Competitive Progress page. The "Win Streak" and "Loss Streak" modifiers are now "Win Trend" and "Loss Trend," reflecting recent game weighting rather than continuous streaks. Enhanced parameters for wide group matchmaking aim to improve queue times.

Runasapi the new map

Embark on the new Runasapi Push map, set high in the Peruvian Andes. Navigate through bustling marketplaces and explore the Inti Warrior Historical Museum and Monument as you escort TS-1 through narrow streets and perilous cliffs overlooking sunny farmlands.

Map Updates

  • Expanded the map with a lowered section and mega health pack behind the second checkpoint.
  • Added a new building route connecting spawn to the final point.
  • Adjusted initial spawn building positioning for smoother navigation.
  • Tweaked stairs and cover around the final point to enhance gameplay flow.
