Forza Horizon 6 will launch later this month and is now available to preload on Xbox and Steam. This means that players can download and install the full game before its actual launch day on May 19.
Alongside launching the preload for Forza Horizon 6, Playground Games announced that the PC version will be fully verified for Steam Deck at launch. Alongside Steam Deck support, cross-save will be available on every platform with Forza Horizon 6.
Players can download and install Forza Horizon 6 beginning May 12. On Xbox Series X, players will require 135GB of storage or 130GB for the Series S. PC players will require 160GB of storage and an SSD to install the full game.
Forza Horizon 6 Preload Details
Those eligible for the preload include everyone who purchased one of the three Founder’s Editions (Standard, Deluxe, Premium) of Forza Horizon 6 and active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers and PC Game Pass subscribers.
Physical edition owners can preload via the Xbox mobile app by Xbox consoles and simply select “Download to Console.” Owners who downloaded the smaller version of the game files will need to make sure they download any additional updates and install the full game files before launch day.
Forza Horizon 6 Early Access for Premium Edition owners begins May 15. Playground Games didn’t stop there either with announcements as they dove into even more technical details.
Forza Horizon 6 will launch fully optimised and verified for Steam Deck, Xbox ROG Ally, and Ally X. Simply put, cross-save support will be available between Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Steam, Steam Deck and other SteamOS devices, handheld PCs, and PlayStation 5 when it launches.
Forza Horizon 6 continues to impress players with the ability to customise their gameplay on PC as well. Playground Games detailed that customisable rendering features have been expanded, more settings can be tweaked, and better handheld support is coming with Forza Horizon 6.
