Recently, Blizzard unveiled an exciting crossover event for Overwatch 2 Season 11, teaming up with the beloved Transformers franchise. The Transformers event in Overwatch 2 kicks off on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Blizzard has officially confirmed this date in the Season 11 roadmap, prominently featuring the unmistakable Transformers logo.
Overwatch 2 Season 11 will begin on June 20, breaking from the usual Tuesday tradition, according to Blizzard. This change was revealed in their teaser for Season 11, noting the shift to a Thursday launch. If you're aiming to complete your Battle Pass and earn the Mercy Mythic skin, you'll need to do so by June 19.

Battle Pass Theme
Overwatch 2 Season 11's theme is based on popular shows like Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and various other Tokusatsu-style series.
The developers at Overwatch have openly expressed their love for anime, evident from collaborations with series like One Punch Man and nods to Cowboy Bebop, among others.
New Mythic Skins and Map
Runasapi will mark Overwatch 2's first Push map release since the game mode debuted back in 2022. In the Season 11 trailer, we've got our initial glimpse of Runasapi, which appears to be one of the narrowest Push maps introduced so far.
As part of the Ultrawatch theme in Season 11, Ashe will receive her inaugural Mythic skin, named Calamity Empress Ashe, portraying her as the antagonist.
Furthermore, Season 11 introduces the game's first Mythic weapon skin, starting with Reinhardt's Bound Demon skin. The base skin will be available for 50 Mythic Prisms, with additional emotes and effects costing an extra 10 Prisms.
Game Modes
There's a variety of game modes coming, mixing both new additions and annual events.
One of the upcoming modes is a Limited Time Community-crafted mode, where content creators were invited to redesign heroes specifically for this mode.
Additionally, within Quick Play: Hacked, there's a new twist where players can select their own role-based passives. This feature seems reminiscent of the abandoned PvE skill tree concept.
Hero Changes
Cassidy's Magnetic Grenade is undergoing a rework to revert it to its original state from before Overwatch 2. In this rework, Cassidy's grenade will no longer home in on targets, will have a shorter range, and will focus on slowing or hindering enemies.
During the announcement of Cassidy's changes, the developers hinted at a rework for Reaper as well. However, they didn't specify whether Reaper's rework would debut in Season 11 or in future seasons.
