Nvidia has recently introduced G-Assist AI assistant for PC gamers, which can be integrated into games and operating system.

In the future, owners of Nvidia graphics cards will be able to use an AI assistant to optimize games and receive tips on how to play them. The AI craze has reached such a high level that what was once an April Fool's joke is now becoming a real product.

The Nvidia company presented its G-Assist AI assistant for PC gamers, which will be able to be integrated specifically into games (if the developers support it) and at the level of the operating system.

One of the first supported games will be Ark: Survival Ascended, during which you can ask Nvidia's AI assistant what is the best weapon in the game, what is the name of the type of dinosaur in the frame, etc.

Is this an unnecessary waste of hardware resources or a useful thing? Many people think that G-Assist might actually be more useful on a system level.

Namely, it will be able to alert you when your super expensive high frequency monitor is locked on a 60Hz display and your eye didn't notice. Or it will simplify your overclocking process if you let it. This might not be the best idea knowing that AI assistants aren't exactly the most reliable assistants in the world.

There are dozens of game and hardware settings spread between game menus, apps and control panels. The AI Assistant can scan your system to see if there’s anything out of order, such as not taking full advantage of your display’s resolution, refresh rate, or other capabilities, including HDR and G-SYNC.

In any case, G-Assist should one day become part of Nvidia's GeForce software and available to owners of RTX cards, but it has not been revealed when that will happen.
