League of Legends is getting ready to introduce a new champion named Aurora, with a fresh teaser out ahead of her release, while the official information about her abilities and kit will be released soon.
Riot Games is set to release a new champion soon. The most recent addition, Smolder, had a rocky start with high game win percentages, but is now fairly balanced, some will say too much. But, with Smolder now stable, Riot is shifting focus to the next champion.
Previously announced at as a Vastayan character, the new champion has been confirmed as Aurora, a Vastayan Mage. SkinSpotlights has released a video showcasing Aurora's teaser, offering fans a first glimpse into her story.
Aurora Teaser
The teaser tells us that there will be an in-game event called "The Spirit of the Hearth Home," featuring Aurora and Ornn as main characters. It tells the story of how Aurora visits Ornn’s forge to assist a creature in need. As the story unfolds, Aurora and Ornn form a stronf friendship, leading to Ornn crafting a wand for her.
This new champion teaser serves as Aurora's origin story and explains her lore and her arrival in Demacia. Indeed, still much about her gameplay and background remains to be revealed, but it is currently known that she is a Mage expected to play in the mid or top lane.
Aurora is scheduled for release during the Summer event. Along with Aurora's release, the new Anima Squad skins will be introduced in either Patch 14.13 or Patch 14.14. More details will be shared as soon as they become available.
Aurora is supposedly meant to be played as a mid-range solo lane mage (probably mid-lane), and meant to be more magical and whimsical than other champions of the League of Legends roster, so we expect her to be more like Vex or Hwei type champion.
Riot hasn’t still released any official information regarding the Aurora’s abilities and her kit, but we will make sure to keep you updated as soon as new information surfaces.
