Ark: Survival Evolved's price on the Epic Games Store has been slashed to zero. Studio Wildcard's 2017 survival game will be free to keep until June 18, 2020.

Studio Wildcard's 2017 survival game aptly named Ark: Survival Evolved is currently free on the Epic Games Store . The offer is valid for six more days at the time of writing, or until June 18.

Ark: Survival Evolved joins the ever-growing list of games Epic Games Store has slapped a "free" sticker on recently. While the "free to keep extravaganza" didn't start with GTA V, so many people logged in to Epic Games' client that it started going nuts and sent people who tried to claim GTA V all around the world .

About Ark: Survival Evolved

Stranded on the shores of a mysterious island, you must learn to survive. Use your cunning to kill or tame the primaeval creatures roaming the land, and encounter other players to survive, dominate... and escape!

Released back in 2017, the action-adventure game pits its players against dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, natural hazards, and potentially unfriendly human players. The action takes place on an island and the players will have to traverse its world on foot or by taming and then riding a prehistoric animal.

The use of firearms and various improvised weapons is encouraged and, at this point, expected. Players are also welcome to construct bases as a defence against other island dwellers.

Ark: Survival Evolved features singleplayer and multiplayer modes.

The multiplayer mode will let the players form tribes which consist of other members in a server. In this mode, all tamed dinosaurs and buildings usually get shared between the members.

Players cannot fight one another in the game's PvE mode.
