A new Alien is coming to stick on your face in Alien: Rogue Incursion. A new horror game from the Alien franchise is in the works for VR platforms and will be released this year. Prepare your face to see if it's ready for a close encounter with Facehuggers.
In the original news, the game’s developers stated that at the end of 2024, another horror adventure set in the world of Alien will arrive. But unlike Isolation, Alien: Rogue Incursion will be a VR exclusive made for PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 3 and SteamVR devices.
Details about the game are scarce to non-existent for now. We only know that the game is being worked on by the developer Survios, which already has several VR games in its catalog such as The Walking Dead Onlsaught, Creed: Rise to Glory and others.
It's also been made clear that Alien: Rogue Incursion will be a single-player game, meaning no one will come to your rescue when the Xenomorph gets in your face.
In today’s update, the game received a short video showing the gameplay in very dark areas and we can already see that this will be scary in VR.
For Alien: Rogue Incursion, the key part is its intense combat, but depending only on your one pulse rifle to get through isn't always the best idea.
With unpredictable and clever Xenomorphs lurking around to get you, players need to be creative and stay calm to succeed. Using the environment to your advantage often turns out to be the most effective strategy.
