New Exodus gameplay highlights a volcanic mission, showcasing the Eruption ability and more environmental exploration ahead of its full reveal.

Exodus now has yet another gameplay preview dropped, showing off more hostile environments as well as introducing a new ability. The newest gameplay trailer gives players another taste of the game before we hopefully see a much bigger gameplay showcase later this summer.

This new gameplay trailer shows Jun Aslan and their crew navigating their way into some underground ruins within what appears to be an active volcano. This once again shows off a completely different locale then the snowy planet we previously saw gameplay of.

The gameplay trailer really focuses on this new Eruption ability that players can use that has several different applications. Players will be able to form bridges out of limestone deposits, redirect magma flows, and even remove obstacles that block players from progressing forward.

This isn’t just for combat scenarios but instead gives players another traversal/mechanical focus to puzzle your way through areas. This gameplay preview expands off of another trailer that released previously showing off gameplay taking place on an ice planet littered with alien architecture.

These gameplay trailers have already shown that Exodus is going to have heavy focuses on different biomes taking you to many radically different places. Enemies will obviously play a role in this as well as we see a mention of creatures known as Mara-Yama showing up in this latest gameplay trailer.

Both of these gameplay trailers have only really given us brief looks at the environments you’ll be exploring as well as the story. Hopefully we’ll see more gameplay focused moments than purely cinematic as we get closer to release.

Exodus is set to release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC in 2027.
