Developer Avalanche Software and publisher Warner Bros. Games have today revealed a surprising update for Hogwarts Legacy which is set to introduce a bunch of new content and features to the game on June 6, 2024.
The Summer Update as the devs titled it will include the following items and features:
- Photo Mode
- Reset Talent Points option
- Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest (was available on PS5)
- The Glasses That Lived (Glasses)
- Azkaban Prisoner's Outfit and Coat
- Felix Felicis Potion Recipe
- Lavender Borealis Broom
- Onyx Hippogriff Mount
As you can see, there's plenty of new stuff in this update but some players still feel a bit disapointed that Avalanche Software didn't have more in-store after all this time.
Personally, I'm excited about the Photo Mode and and the option to reset talent points but I have to admit that such features should've been in the game on launch.

In addition, the new cosmetics like the Lavenader Borealis Broom and Onyx Hippogriff look pretty good and I'm also excited to test the new potion recipe Felix Felicis, which makes the drinker successeful at everything they try, accoring to Harry Potter lore.
It will be interesting to see if this is the first and last major update for Hogwarts Legacy or Avalanche will have more in story down the line.
If I had to bet, I'd put my money on this being the final update as the team are probably already switching to Hogwarts Legacy 2 development.
Such game is yet to be officially announced, though, but Warner Bros. Games are smart enough to know that the sequel would sell like hotcakes and chances are pretty high that they've already greenlit the game.
Hogwarts Legacy is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
