League of Legends Classic Patch 26.16 brings 19 champion changes, three new classic champions, and major updates to gold, turrets, runes, jungle camps and Homeguard.

League of Legends Classic Patch 26.16 will be one of the largest patches we’ve seen for Riot’s throwback game mode yet. The upcoming patch changes are coming to 19 champions, three new champions are being added to Classic, and several more adjustments are incoming to Summoner’s Rift systems.

Akali, Kennen and Shen will all become playable in League Classic using older iterations of their kits. This gives players the option to see what playing them was like during the early days of League of Legends. Other champions are getting weaker or stronger in the patch notes too.

Gold generation is being buffed, Homeguard is being removed, turrets are getting hitpoints increased, jungle camps are gaining more health, early game respawn times are being reduced, and new runes are arriving in Classic too.

League of Legends Classic Patch 26.16 Champion Buffs

Ten champions are on the schedule to receive buffs or some sort of change. Lux, Amumu, Dr. Mundo, Skarner and Veigar are looking like they’ll be the biggest recipients.

  • Lux is gaining movement speed, her ultimate has better AP scaling, and her ultimate cooldown is reduced.
  • Amumu’s MR shred is improved, his passive duration is increased, and his Q deals more damage.
  • Dr. Mundo gains significantly stronger damage and crowd-control reduction from his W. He also has improved regeneration from his ultimate.
  • Skarner’s Q slows more, his W cooldown is reduced, and his E missile becomes wider.
  • Veigar gains a higher AP scaling on his Q, and his abilities now cost less mana.
  • Miss Fortune is receiving changes to the duration and number of stacks her W provides. She also has buffed ultimate damage scaling.
  • Garen, Soraka and Alistar are all gaining minor improvements to their regeneration, healing, and utility abilities.
  • Olaf is receiving several buffs and nerfs. Among the buffs is an increased scaling on his E, and changes to his ultimate.

Classic Champions Receiving Nerfs

Many champions are being looked at and changed for the new patch. Blitzcrank, Heimerdinger, Janna, Jarvan IV, Katarina, Nasus, Tryndamere, Twitch, and Warwick are receiving nerfs.

  • Twitch is being reduced significantly. Not only does he lose base AD and missile speed, but his E ability will now cost more mana.
  • Blitzcrank is seeing nerfs to his Q, W, and ultimate ability.
  • Tryndamere and Nasus are both being toned down across their kits.

Major System Changes

Here are all the system changes:

  • Gold generation is increased by around +200. Creep Score (CS) gold is reduced by 1.
  • All turret hitpoints are increased by 500.
  • Monster health scales up even higher as they level up.
  • Shorter respawn times will be introduced in the early game.
  • Classic runes are being introduced, as well as reworked versions of existing runes.
  • The Rift is receiving visual improvements.

Akali, Kennen and Shen Join League Classic

Players will now be able to choose between three new champions in Classic. All three of them are using older versions of their kits.

Akali is gaining her June 2012 kit. Kennen is gaining his July 2013 kit. Shen is gaining his April 2013 kit.

With a number of champions being buffed and nerfed, new champions being introduced, and changes to core League of Legends systems, there’s plenty to look forward to in Patch 26.16.
